Early life

Árpád began his career at the tender age of fifteen, submitting his landscape watercolours to the National Salon in Budapest, which were displayed alongside paintings from eminent European artists of the era.

Still a mere boy, Árpád left Hungary and studied art in Vienna, Munich, Paris and Italy.

What most captured his imagination was the burgeoning Art Nouveau style which he witnessed when training in France. It is this style which most influenced him and shaped his his future work.
